Sam Louie is a psychotherapist, author, and speaker on issues related to Asian shame, addictions, and trauma. He received his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (emphasis in marriage and family therapy) from Azusa Pacific University.

Sam is a first-generation, Chinese-American immigrant from Hong Kong who grew up in South Seattle. As a result, he is keenly aware of the role of multicultural sensitivity when working with minorities and Asian-Americans.
